TERMS OF USE
1. About Us
We are an independent children’s speech and language therapy service based in Cannock, Staffordshire, supporting families and educational settings in the local and surrounding areas. We are a small team led by Chloe Jackson, practice owner and Lead Speech and Language Therapist, alongside a team of associate SLTs and Communication Practitioners. Our service is child-centered, neurodiversity-affirming, and designed to support each child’s unique communication journey. All Speech and Language Therapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
2. Booking & Attendance
Sessions are booked in blocks of 6, delivered weekly or fortnightly, depending on availability. You will be allocated a regular day and time for your sessions. To book, please enquire via email. We operate a waiting list, and wait times may vary. Please arrive on time for your session. Missed time due to lateness cannot be made up.
3. Fees & Payment
Our family service rates are delivered in clearly defined packages, including assessment and therapy sessions. Split payments are available to help spread the cost. Invoices are sent via WriteUpp. All sessions must be paid for at least one week in advance—unpaid sessions will not go ahead. Sessions are charged in advance as part of a block, and payment secures your place. You will be sent package and pricing information on enquiry. Travel costs are calculated based on the total round-trip distance from our clinic in Cannock (WS11 0EL). Travel costs are outlined within our pricing information document. How Travel Fees Are Applied: Travel fees will be clearly outlined on your invoice, included in the session cost breakdown. Fees apply to all off-site sessions (home or school visits).
4. Cancellations & Missed Sessions
We require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule without charge. You are entitled to one short-notice cancellation per block (e.g. due to illness). After that, missed sessions will be charged. If you do not inform us of a missed session, it will be charged in full. Frequent cancellations may result in therapy being paused or discontinued at our discretion. If we need to cancel a session (e.g., due to illness), we will reschedule it as soon as possible. Staff holidays will be communicated in advance, and sessions will be arranged around any planned leave.
5. Therapy Blocks & Taking a Break
Therapy is delivered in fixed 6-session blocks. In some cases, a shorter block may be recommended at the therapist’s discretion. Progress is reviewed regularly, and you will be asked in your 4th session whether you would like to continue therapy. Families must commit to the full block. We do not offer initial assessments without the intention to begin therapy, in order to ensure smooth scheduling and continuity of care. You may take a break from therapy at any time. Returning families will be prioritised where possible, but there may still be a wait depending on availability. If your break lasts longer than 3 months, we may need to complete a separate review assessment before resuming therapy. This will incur an additional cost.
6. Confidentiality & Data Protection
We use WriteUpp to store and manage client information securely. We always obtain parental consent before sharing information with schools or other professionals. Our full Privacy Policy is will be sent to you on enquiry
7. Ending Therapy
You may choose to stop therapy at the end of any 6-session block. We may recommend discharge if your child has made good progress and no longer requires therapy. We reserve the right to terminate therapy if sessions are frequently cancelled or if payments are not made on time.
8. Contact
For general enquiries, please email: chloe@communicatewithchloe.co.uk Once therapy begins, you will also be given the direct email address of your allocated practitioner to discuss appointments, session feedback, or progress updates. 9. Therapy Packages & Practitioner Roles We offer packages to suit the needs of each family. These may include: Initial assessment with a qualified SLT, SLT-led therapy blocks, Communication Practitionerled therapy blocks (also known as SLTAs or support practitioners) Review sessions and progress updates All Communication Practitioners work under the guidance and supervision of a registered Speech and Language Therapist, in line with HCPC and RCSLT professional standards. They are experienced and trained to deliver interventions, but they are not qualified to complete formal assessments or set therapy goals. Choosing SLT-led or practitioner-led therapy is based on the individual needs of the child, not a hierarchy of service. Practitioner-led therapy is not “lesser”—it is often the most appropriate and effective support when guided by a specialist therapist.
